Directed by Winard Harper, with special guest NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Owens. Jazz masters, greats, and emerging artists will take to the stage for a hard-swinging concert celebrating NEA Jazz Master Dr. Billy Taylor and his living legacy, Jazzmobile – as it celebrates 55 years of presenting, preserving, promoting and propagating America’s classical music, jazz. This concert is followed by a conversation with the artists.

    The mission of Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (FCCA) is to present multi-disciplinary global arts that engage and educate the global communities of Queens and New York City in order to foster mutual appreciation.  As advocates of arts equity since 1979, they support local, immigrant, national, and international artists, developing partnerships and collaborations that enhance our efforts. 

    Flushing Town Hall provides exciting opportunities for kids and families to encounter the arts together.  Their performance series showcases talented professionals from a variety of performing arts and cultures whose shows have proven to be entertaining for audience members young and old.  Their interactive arts compliment these presentations by giving kids and families a fun opportunity to do a hands-on exploration of the show's art forms taught by the performers or Flushing Town Hall teaching artists.
