  • $15; $10 students and members; free for teens ($30 for all three sessions)

The ancient motion picture medium of shadow puppetry is the focus of this series of 3 workshops, suitable for professionals and beginners. Chinese Theatre Works' teaching artists will lead participants (working singly or in groups) through the entire process of conceiving, crafting and performing a short overhead projector shadow production.
Adults accompanying children must also pay for a ticket.

    Flushing Town Hall provides exciting opportunities for kids and families to encounter the arts together.  Their performance series showcases talented professionals from a variety of performing arts and cultures whose shows have proven to be entertaining for audience members young and old.  Their interactive arts compliment these presentations by giving kids and families a fun opportunity to do a hands-on exploration of the show's art forms taught by the performers or Flushing Town Hall teaching artists.
