Event description: Tail Waggin' Tutors are therapy dogs and their handlers who visit schools and libraries so children can practice reading to them. This program helps young readers develop their skills by giving them one-on-one time with a furry, patient listener. Children who may be shy reading in front of peers will often willingly read to a friendly dog. This builds confidence and makes reading enjoyable. Dogs don't mind if you make mistakes!
