The Hudson River Museum celebrates Astronomy Day with a fun-filled day of science projects and star shows. See Solar System models of planets, a "Maker Exhibition" of objects and machines created by Family Science Projects participants, observe the sun, experiment with light, create a 3-D constellation, paint a giant "slide," and use a sextant.
Star Shows: "The Friendly Stars" at 12:30pm - Introduce kids to the heavens, as they chat with the sun, sing with the stars, and use their imaginations to make pictures from the clouds and stars.
"The Sky Tonight" at 2pm and 3 pm - See radical leaps in our knowledge of the Universe. For ages 8 and older.

The Hudson River Museum is the largest cultural institution in Westchester County and a multidisciplinary complex that draws its identity from its site on the banks of the Hudson River. The Museum collections focus on 19th-century through contemporary American Art; Glenview, an 1876 house on the National Register of Historic Places; Hudson Riverama, an environmental teaching gallery; a state-of-the-art, 120-seat planetarium, and a 400-seat outdoor amphitheater with programs every weekend, special days for families and events throughout the year.
