Event description: Celebrating "The Art of Video Games," the museum presents dance parties and video game discussions by video curators, extending its closing hours specially for the event.

Tonight: "The Video Game World." Discussion at 7pm; Dance Party at 8pm for ages 18 and older, hosted by Chiptune enthusiast, DJ Cutman. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Chris Melissinos, guest curator for "The Art of Video Games," discusses the world of video games and its place as art and entertainment. All ages.

A collector of video game consoles, computers, and artifacts that span the 40-year history of the video game industry, Melissinos is known in the games industry for his role in web-based video-game technology development, video game preservation, virtual world application, and lectures on the future of games and computer technology.

The Hudson River Museum is the largest cultural institution in Westchester County and a multidisciplinary complex that draws its identity from its site on the banks of the Hudson River. The Museum collections focus on 19th-century through contemporary American Art; Glenview, an 1876 house on the National Register of Historic Places; Hudson Riverama, an environmental teaching gallery; a state-of-the-art, 120-seat planetarium, and a 400-seat outdoor amphitheater with programs every weekend, special days for families and events throughout the year.
