Hudson River Museum

Creative activities are inspired by the Museum's collections and exhibitions, led by Junior Docents and art and science professionals. For ages 7 and older, but can be adapted for younger children. Art projects on Saturday and Sunday: "Making Art with the Masters" focuses on the symbols of nature, designed by Teaching Artist-in-Residence Andrea Packard. Science Projects on Saturday: Learn how to uncover the history of a landscape through interactive workshops about the weight of water, tree rings, and more. Designed by Teaching Scientist-in-Residence Dr. Allegra N. LeGrande.

The Hudson River Museum is the largest cultural institution in Westchester County and a multidisciplinary complex that draws its identity from its site on the banks of the Hudson River. The Museum collections focus on 19th-century through contemporary American Art; Glenview, an 1876 house on the National Register of Historic Places; Hudson Riverama, an environmental teaching gallery; a state-of-the-art, 120-seat planetarium, and a 400-seat outdoor amphitheater with programs every weekend, special days for families and events throughout the year.
