'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' at Jacob Burns Film Center

Event description:

Who doesn’t love the Harry Potter movies, based on J.K Rowling’s wildly popular series of books? Here’s where it all begins: meet Harry, an orphan who lives with his unpleasant relatives, the Dursleys, who pick on him and force him to sleep in a closet. But everything changes on Harry’s 11th birthday when a mysterious bearded man delivers a letter from Hogwarts, a prestigious boarding school for witches and wizards. A whirlwind of a journey ensues, complete with magic wands, flying brooms, and a dark force Harry must confront if he is to discover the truth about his past.

Join for a five- to ten-minute discussion following the film. Ask those burning questions, or answer the ones provided, and get to know your fellow moviegoers!
