Kennedy Child Study Center
A four workshop for parents. Learn a “Toolbox” of strategies to maintain a strong connection with your child, set reasonable limits and expectations, address sensory needs at home and in the community, and reduce personal and familial stress.
These workshops are geared towards parents and caregivers of children under the age of four who have recently received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), or are in the process of having their child evaluated. Participants will discuss the early signs of ASD, and the distinct challenges the diagnosis can present for families as they learn to adjust, adapt, and become advocates for their children.
The workshop series is completely free to attend; though advanced registration is requested.
Breakfast and transportation reimbursement will be available.
This event is made possible through the generosity of the New York City Council Autism Awareness Initiative and in partnership with the Kennedy Child Study Center.
Address: 2212 Third Ave.
