In honor of Black History Month, MyKingstonKids and Kingston Ceramics Studio presents the inspirational story of "Dave The Potter." You are invited to this creative and fun free event. Hear the story of Dave The Potter, a 19th century enslaved artist who become one of the most talented potters in the land and wrote poetry on his work. Learn about the African-American tradition of face jugs and make your own! Great for families and folks of all ages. Please register to meet at the studio and work in person, or receive a kit to work along with them at home on Zoom! Complimentary Red-K swag bags including book of Dave The Potter & Red-K t-shirt.
