Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
This is an interactive workshop where you will design a rescue package to be air-dropped to a village cut off by floods. Use the engineering design process to ensure that the rescue package arrives safely and intact, and explore multiple possible answers to the problem of cushioning a hard landing. How does the shape of the package affect the speed it travels through the air? What forces are acting on the box as it falls? How can we structure the box to try and protect the contents? Space is Limited to 20 students for maximum interaction. Registration required. A link will be sent to you after registration by midnight the night before workshop.
