Event description: This internationally acclaimed cultural music group performs a cappella vocals and traditional West African percussion rhythms. Their stirring performance includes dance, songs, and storytelling. Hear African percussion instruments such as the sekere, agogo, and sakara and samba drums. The ensemble welcomes questions about the origins of their drums and music. Following the performance, Penny Gamble-Williams (Chappaquidick/Wampanoag), visual artist, storyteller, poet, writer, activist, and radio talk show producer and host, talks about the early links of Native American and African people. Five dollars with museum admission.
