Teen Afternoon Craft Hour: Pride Month and Kick Off to Summer Edition!

Teens drop by the branchevery THURSDAY in June for an IN PERSON afternoon of fun and chill arts & craft projects that celebrate Pride and a summer of Making Waves. Get ready for summer, destress, and forget about the world outside.

June 2 - Help decorate the branch's Teen Space with sea life mobiles in honor of Marine (ocean) conservation

June 9 - Make rainbow Pride bracelets to celebrate Pride Month

June 16 - Create and decorate colorful tote bags with an assortment of fabric markers, fabric paint and plain tote bags which you can then use to fill with books all summer long! 

June 23 - Make Waves with buttons that show who you are and what you believe in. This is a summer reading kick off event! There will be tons of free stuff and giveaways (including lots of books!), a special guest and drinks and snacks will be served!

  • The New York Public Library's Mulberry Street branch is located at the site of a former chocolate factory in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, historically known as the Cast Iron District. The branch entrance is located at ground level, and two other floors are located below ground. A prominent staircase connects the spaces and brings natural light downstairs.
