Event description: Celebrate the 125th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty with Doreen Rappaport, the award-winning author of "Lady Liberty: A Biography" (Candlewick Press, 2008). Families will discover the history of the Statue of Liberty and learn about its role as a monument to New York City and then create their own monuments to the city they call home.
