The City Museum will be hosting a monthly "Made in New York" afternoon, where visitors can enjoy artisanal food tastings and explore a variety of compelling exhibitions. On Saturday, April 6 from 12-4pm, sample delicious sweet treats baked with love and some NYC pride.
Free with museum admission, visitors can savor tastes from Cookie Fairy Sweets of Brooklyn, Fatty Sunday Pretzels of Brooklyn, and Josephine's Feast Jam from farms in the North and South Forks of Long Island. (And, if visitors want to bring these treats home, they will be featured for sale in the museum's shop for the weekend.)
All exhibitions will be open to the public, including the new "Stephen Burrows: When Fashion Danced" celebrating the influential design force, Stephen Burrows, with brilliant sketches, video, and over 50 stunning garments. Also on view is the popular "Making Room: New Models for Housing New Yorkers," and "Activist New York," "Currier and Ives and Other Winter Tales," and the multi-media film "Timescapes."
