Faye Rogaski, founder of socialsklz:-) tools to thrive in the modern world and Carolyn Meyer-Wartels, LCSW lead an interactive, empowering workshop to equip campers and their parents with confidence as they head off on their summer excursions.
During an hour and a half workshop, Rogaski will empower campers with the knowledge needed to feel confident about sleep away camp. The program covers making new friends, conversation skills, making a good first impression, meal time with fellow campers, trying new activities, handling homesickness, bunk life, grooming basics, technology do's and don't's, managing sticky situations, and answer a wide range of anonymous questions. Rogaski is a nationally recognized social interaction expert who lectures frequently on the topic and is an adjunct professor at NYU.
Carolyn Meyer-Wartels, LCSW will work with parents on effective communication skills that can be used with children to help them feel more settled and confident as they take on the challenge of leaving home. Appropriate dialogue prior to camp can have a true impact on whether or not children feel good once they are there. Meyer-Wartels is a popular lecturer with over 15 years of experience helping families.
