Do more than just show the flag on this holiday. Honor the great men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the USA free. This parade is recognized as being the largest in the nation. Held annually since 1927, it is a time for citizens to come together to honor veterans and fallen heroes, and for the community to come together and celebrate. Drawing 80,000 spectators and participants, this parade is the largest in the county. Highlights include an interfaith service, wreath-laying ceremonies, local HS marching bands, civic groups, and military organizations. This year after the Ceremony, we are sponsoring a free public performance by The Blue Aces, the United States Air Force band. The Blue Aces are 6 dynamic Airmen-musicians who perform a diverse mix of today’s favorite artists (Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons, Tori Kelly, Eric Church, etc.) and the old school rock and rhythm and blues of yesterday (ZZ Top, Stevie Wonder, Allman Brothers, The Beatles, etc.) and classic patriotic favorites. The band has a true Americana sound, with a lead singer, guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and audio/video engineer. They are in high demand for a variety of audiences and settings throughout the Eastern United States.
The Blue Aces have deployed multiple times to Southwest Asia, supporting U.S. and Coalition Troops, while building international friendships. They have performed with numerous professional artists to include Jake Cinninger (Umphrey’s McGee) and Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (Steely Dan).
