Event description: Introduction to a variety of techniques, components, and tools used to create jewelry. Materials include Swarovski and Czech crystals, fresh-water and glass pearls, glass beads, semi-precious stones and beads, copper, brass- and silver-plated wire, and findings. Techniques include stringing, wire wrapping, braiding, and cold connecting with jump-rings, wire, and epoxy. Participants will create several pieces including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. (Due to the high cost of most metals, gold or silver will not be used.)
