Family Farm Project: Part 2 – Food Preservation

Visit the QBG Farm to learn all about plants and their creative uses during this two-part family-friendly series! Part 1 focuses on artmaking (May 22), Part 2 on food preservation (June 5). Register for one or both of these hands-on, outdoor workshops!

Part 2 – Food Preservation: Saturday, June 5

In part two of the Family Farm Project series, join QBG to observe changes in the farm, harvest herbs, and make a mini dehydrator to go home with your very own tea and tea making materials! This sheltered, outdoor, hands-on, and in-person program is rain or shine, socially distanced, and requires all participants to wear face masks.

Part 1 – Artmaking: Saturday, May 22

Take a tour and learn to identify the parts of plants that you can eat in your homes. In the second half, you will get creative by making your very own plant and produce inspired drink coasters. This outdoor, hands-on, and in-person program is rain or shine, socially distanced, and requires all participants to wear face masks.
