Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Rockland Community College will host former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice at RCC’s Cultural Arts Theater. RCC faculty member Traci Alexander will moderate the event including a question and answer session with the audience. At the event, Ambassador Rice will share stories from her fascinating new memoir Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For. She served as the 24th U.S. National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2017, was on the staff of the National Security Council, and was the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs during President Bill Clinton's second term. A Brookings Institution fellow, she served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013. With her trademark humor and grace, Ambassador Rice describes her life working in the inner sanctum of the White House and what it really means to walk the corridors of power. In Tough Love, she shares her triumphs and failures and the important life lessons she learned along the way. It promises to be an enlightening evening. Tickets to the event includes a copy of Rice’s new book.
