Event description: What is open adoption? Many families are not sure how open adoption works or why it exists. This is a discussion about what openness means, guidelines for discussion with children, and managing communication with your child's birth family. This is an excellent opportunity for birth parents, adoptive parents, and waiting families to learn more about recent changes in adoption practices.

Presenters: Leslie Nobel is the Senior Social Worker in Birth Parent Services at Spence-Chapin. She has years of experience providing options counseling to woman considering adoption for their children.
