Description: Join Animal Embassy to discover the talents of a diverse group of creatures that build complicated structures enabling them to survive in their habitats. Explore the architectural feat of nest-building and how some winged creatures labor at making their own, while others take advantage of the structures around them. Learn about burrow-making and the reasons animals create underground environments. Investigate the miraculous formation of webs and the many ways spiders use them to survive. See some amazing artifacts, including nests, and meet Animal Ambassadors such as a young Sulcata tortoise, an Eclectus parrot, a Chilean Rose-haired tarantula, an African hedgehog and more. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required by calling 203-977-6521. Meet at the Overbrook Nature Center building.
