Event description: Morgan Taylor will bring the multimedia magic of his indie-rock Gustafer Yellowgold shows to a whole new level with this premiere, filling the stage with the lush orchestral sounds of The Chelsea Symphony.

Groovy Gustafer Yellowgold is a small, yellow, cone-headed fellow, who came to Earth from the Sun and has a knack for finding himself neck-deep in absurd situations as he explores his new life in the Minnesota woods. Morgan Taylor developed the Gustafer Yellowgold experience as equal parts pop rock concert and animated storybook, in which the music is coordinated with full-color, large screen, gorgeously animated images of Gustafer and his friends.

At Symphony Space, Morgan Taylor and The Yellowgold Band will be joined by The Chelsea Symphony for a breathtakingly epic symphonic journey into Gustafer's world. Because The Chelsea Symphony is noted for cutting-edge repertoire that challenges and expands the traditional parameters of a symphonic ensemble, pairing the orchestra with Gustafer Yellowgold is a match made in heaven. With the Gustafer Yellowgold's Golden Heart Symphony show, Morgan Taylor layers the traditional Gustafer Yellowgold experience over the sumptuous and vivid orchestrations of Robert Nelson (who, with librettist Buck Ross, gave E.M. Foster's beloved "A Room With a View" new life as an operatic masterpiece).
