Event description: Families with children age 5 and up are invited to learn how bats play a vital role in our environment by eating millions of mosquitoes and other insects each night. Participants will also learn how many of these amazing flying mammals use echolocation to navigate the night sky. After a presentation by an environmental educator, families will take a walk along one of a trail and use a sonar detector to search for signs of bat life. Rain or shine. Registration is required.
