For a Christmas tree with a difference, look no further than delightfully decorated Origami Holiday Tree at the American Museum of Natural History. Nimble fingered volunteers began folding in July to complete around 1,000 creations that will be displayed on the tree.
An annual Museum tradition, the tree and two merrily lit 19-foot Holiday Barosaurs welcome visitors to the Museum throughout the holiday season.
Each year the tree has a different theme related to current exhibitions.
During the holiday season, volunteers will be on hand to teach visitors of all ages the art of paper folding.
The tree is located in the Grand Gallery.
