The Fashion Class

Young elementary, Tween

Event description:

Kids and Tweens ages 6-12 years old will spend their day learning how to create on a sewing machine plus design fashion and accessories. Campers will work with a group of up to fifteen other future-designers during the MLK Day public school break. During the sewing portion of the day our campers will sew real and wearable clothing on our 12 Singer Quantum Stylist Sewing machines complete with LCD touch screens, finger guards and plenty of fun embroidery stitches! After lunch we head into the art classroom for Fashion Design. A wonderful way to learn entrepreneurship and presentation skills to build a future fashion empire, Fashion Design explores different areas of the fashion industry. Lessons on fabric science, technology, entrepreneurship and history (with real period costumes) may be part of the day . Our last class of the day, Fashion Illustration, has campers sketching their own designs by learning poses, drawing different types of fabric or even design a collection of clothing A relaxing way to end the day. To learn about the specific projects on your child's camp day, please give us a call.
