Twice Exceptional Children's Advocacy (TECA) Conference: Building 2e Awareness & Community
Twice Exceptional Children’s Advocacy (TECA) invites you to attend its annual Building 2e Awareness & Community Conference.
If you know a child who is really bright, really curious and really struggling in school or with peers, this is a conference you’ll want to attend.
This year’s keynote presenter is Katherine Ellison. Ellison is a Pulitzer Prize-winning former foreign correspondent and the author of the books, Buzz: A Year of Paying Attention, and ADHD: What Everyone Needs to Know. Conference attendees will also have an opportunity to pre-register for a special “book group” session on Buzz: A Year of Paying Attention facilitated by Ellison.
Focused on “everything 2e,” TECA’s annual conference features a full day of programming specifically designed to provide the families of 2e children & teens with comprehensive information and resources to support the specific academic, social, and emotional needs of this unique and growing student population.
The day includes more than 20 informative workshops and panel discussions, community building activities, and networking opportunities. Psychologists, therapists, educators, lawyers and advocates working with 2e children and their families will share their insights and expertise across a variety of topics including identification, evaluations, talent development, advocacy, programs, home/school connections, interventions, assistive technology and more.
This event is co-sponsored by: the Molloy College School of Social Work; Ramapo for Children; Mark Hagan; Peter Pramataris Psy.D.; The Law Offices of Bonnie Spiro Schinagle, Esq.
