Meet writer and illustrator George O'Connor, creator of the New York Times Best-Selling series Olympians, which retells Greek myths through graphic novels. To celebrate the upcoming release of the twelfth book, Dionysus, join George on a virtual exploration of the incredible ceilings of the Morgan's East Room, where the gods of Greek mythology are paired with Zodiac signs. Participants will create and sketch their own original Olympian god. Craft materials: Paper, pencil, eraser; colored pencils optional Family workshops are designed for adults and children to enjoy together. Recommended for children ages 7-14. No experience required. Program is virtual and occurs on the Zoom platform.

  • A complex of buildings in the heart of New York City, The Morgan Library & Museum began as the private library of financier Pierpont Morgan (1837–1913), one of the preeminent collectors and cultural benefactors in the United States. As early as 1890 Morgan had begun to assemble a collection of illuminated, literary, and historical manuscripts, early printed books, and old master drawings and prints.
