Workshop: How to Perform a Song at The Rye Arts Center

Event description:

How to Perform a Song Workshop Instructor: Keith Levenson Ages 10 - 13, Saturdays, March 16, 23, and 30, 1:00 - 3:00 pm Broadway Musical Director and Conductor Keith Levenson joins with The Rye Arts Center to offer three master classes centered around song. Each student will select a piece (or pieces) of Musical Theatre Material and have three weeks to develop the song for a special presentation on the last Saturday. Mr. Levenson has been the Conductor of Broadway's "Annie", "Dreamgirls" and Grease." His National Tours include "The Bridges of Madison County", "Amazing Grace" and "Oliver" amoung many others. Television appearances include the 1997 Tony Awards, David Letterman and The Tonight Show. Former students include: Broadways' Sutton Foster, Elizabeth Stanley, Neal Mayer, Tom Treadwell and James Leo Ryan, among others. FEE: $120 (members receive discount)
