The Steffi Nossen School of Dance
Join a free movement class based on the internationally acclaimed Dance for PD program, a collaboration between the Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group. The teachers are professional dancers trained in the Dance for PD® method.
Classes address PD specific concerns: balance, coordination, flexibility, gait, and physical confidence while simultaneously developing artistry, grace, and creativity.
Enjoy a dynamic and fun hour of dance and artistic exploration in a group setting. Bring a partner, friend, or caregiver! No dance experience necessary. Stand up or sit down, as you like.
Weekly classes present movement sequences drawn from ballet, jazz, modern dance, musical theater, folk dance, tap, improvisation, and social dancing – all to the music of the Great American Song Book, classical, pop, and jazz.
