Theresa Academy of Performing Arts
The Theresa Academy of Performing Arts, a beautifully unique program for children and young adults with special needs, announces its fall lineup of after school programming. An array of subjects are being offered after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays, including art, music, drumming, yoga, and Zumba. Classes are small in size, and taught by passionate, talented, certified teachers. Each student receives individual attention and also has a one-on-one buddy. Typically-developing siblings and friends are welcome. Classes begin on Wednesday, September 13th. Registration is ongoing and we offer a new student discount. To inquire about rates and to sign-up, and to learn more about our weekend respite programs, please contact Assistant Director Alyssa Sosnik at alyssa@tapaNY.org or 516-432-0200.

TAPA believes that every child has strengths that can be used as a springboard to learn new skills which can enhance each child’s personal sense of accomplishment.
At TAPA, the teachers use a wide variety of teaching methods to accommodate all styles of learning.
The primary goal of our classes is for the children to experience the joy of dance, drama, art, and music. There are many other benefits to the children who participate including improvement in coordination, overall fitness, focus, listening, balance, self-esteem, self-expression, rhythm, and musicality.
