Come to Wave Hill and enjoy a weekend learning about honeybees. Join exhibiting artist Holly Lynton at the Family Art Project, and sculpt a bee from wool, thread, and tissue paper or decorate a candle with beeswax. Take in a gallery tour led by Assistant Curator Gabriel de Guzman and exhibiting artist Cara Enteles to learn how the exhibition Hive Culture: Captivated by the Honey Bee addresses the critical roles bees play in our world. Discover fascinating facts about honey and compare the complex tastes of different varieties with Laurel Rimmer, Assistant Director of Public Programs. Sample recipes using honey from Wave Hill's own hives, freshly prepared by a Great Performances chef.
Address: West 249th Street and Independence Avenue Bronx, NY 10471
