Bring your little fairies and gnomes to this weekend event to construct a tiny house in the woods fashioned from sticks and leaves (and a bit of pixie dust). Then take a break from building to hear about Wave Hill's fabled woodland fairies, with guest storyteller Rama Mandel. Artist Janice Patrignani creates a dreamy setting for your enchanted activities - paint with her! Admission to the grounds is free all weekend thanks to the generous support of Target. Call or visit the website for full schedule.
Address: West 249th Street and Independence Avenue Bronx, NY 10471
Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Its mission is to celebrate the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes, to preserve its magnificent views, and to explore human connections to the natural world through programs in horticulture, education and the arts.
