Join Manhattanville College School of Education as they welcome Jane Yolen, author of Owl Moon, and her original book team to speak at the West Room in Reid Castle. In 1988, Owl Moon was honored with the Randolph J. Caldecott Medal, as the most distinguished picture book of the year. Since then, the book has been beloved by children, teachers, and librarians and is considered a mentor text for second grades around the United States. This will be the first time that the entire Owl Moon team has been assembled in one place since the American Library Association Caldecott Award dinner in 1988, and the first time they have spoken together on the topic. This event is Co-sponsored by Manhattanville College School of Education, the Teacher Center of Central Westchester and Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES.
