Event description: Learn about heroes of our time - men and women who stood up for what they believed in. Guess who they are and what they did, and celebrate their achievements along this storywalk in the library. The Storywalk is based on the book entitled, "Giant Steps to Change the World," written by Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee, and illustrated by Sean Qualls. Open to families with children in grades 1-6 beginning Sunday, February 19 and continuing through Sunday, March 25, 2012. Storywalk instructions are available at the Children's Information Desk (The Compass) in The Trove. Participants must sign in there before proceeding on the walk. Children in grades 1-3 must be accompanied by an adult on the walk. Children in grades 4-6 may follow the walk without an adult.
