As part of Wyckoff House Museum’s year long project Protest Garden: Historical Resistance and Radical Cultivation in Brooklyn we are hosting a series of free workshops with local artists exploring and interacting with themes such as: activism, protest, respite, and self care.
We are honored to have Kriyol Dance! Collective as one of our participating artists. In addition to a larger walking tour on September 7th, each dancer in the collective will be leading a movement workshop, inviting members of community of all ages to participate!
This workshop is part of the Protest Garden Project, made possible in part by the Lincoln Center Cultural Innovation Fund, which is generously supported by The Rockefeller Foundation and administered by Lincoln Center.

The Wyckoff House & Association preserves, interprets, and operates New York City’s oldest building and it’s surrounding 1.5 acres of farmland. Through innovative educational and farm-based programs we bridge cultural and agricultural gaps in an underserved community by connecting our audience with enduring themes through history, including immigration, land stewardship, and food systems.
