Vicki's Dance Studio Adds Two Specialty Classes to Summer Schedule
Vicki’s Dance Studio in New City is adding two new specialty classes to its roster this summer: Technique, Conditioning, and Strengthening, and Tumbling, Turns, and Tricks. Both classes are slated to be offered June 24-Aug. 23. Vicki's Dance Studio offers recreational and competitive dance programs for kids of all ages, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical dance, hip-hop, gymnastics, and musical theater, as well as Mommy & Me classes for babies and toddlers, dance classes for adults, and Zumba.

Bully the Bully: Artists Against Hate to Show at Taino Theatre on Feb. 28
On Feb. 28, Artists Against Hate will be performing Bully the Bully at Taino Theatre in Long Island City. There will be a 1pm showing for the students and faculty of the Garden School and a 7pm show for the general public. Bully the Bully: Artists Against Hate is an original mixed media work featuring poetry, scenes, and dance. They explore the importance of human connection and kindness in a charged political climate where different is often seen as vulgar or unusual.

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts to Offer New Creative Writing Minor and Ensemble Music Classes
Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts in Wheatley Heights will offer a new minor in the creative writing department, "Performance, Poetry, and Podcasting," this summer as well as a new theater class and new, small ensemble classes through the music department. The creative writing minor will focus on slam poetry and creating a podcast. DIY Musical Theater will utilize devise theater, a method in which a script or score is collaboratively created and performed by an ensemble, to help students write, direct, and perform a musical based on their lives.

RIOULT Dance Center Expands Class Schedule
RIOULT Dance Center opened in Astoria last fall, creating a home for the RIOULT Dance Company which was established almost 25 years ago and fulfilled the dream of Pascal Rioult, founder of the company. The next session of classes for children will begin on Sunday, Feb. 10 Rioult offers ballet classes, tap classes, modern dance classes, jazz classes, and hip hop as well as unique classes such as children's salsa or adult African belly dance.

Calling all artists! Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts is now accepting applications for its Uniquely U scholarship. Open for kids ages 7-18 and in grades 2-12 currently residing in New York City, Southern Westchester, or Long Island, this scholarship will cover the full tuition for all seven weeks of camp: July 1 to August 16.
