On June 24, NYU Langone Health will open the doors to the Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion, a new inpatient facility. The building includes Hassenfeld Children's Hospital—34th Street, NYU Langone’s new flagship location for pediatric care and the first children's hospital built in New York City in nearly 15 years.

Kids Country Day Camp Launches Summer Quest Program to Teach Campers About the Environment

Kids Country Day Camp, based in Mount Sinai, is launching a new Summer Quest program this summer designed to teach children about the planet and its natural environment. The program runs for eight weeks and kicks off on the the first day of camp, June 25. Each week will have a different theme dedicated to a specific region or biome, including Antartica, Australia and the Amazon rainforest. Children will participate in fun games and activities that offer an introduction to these and other geographical areas.

Active International and Rockland Boulders Charity Challenge Raises Nearly $1,000 for CANDLE

Community Awareness Network For A Drug-Free Life And Environment, Inc. (CANDLE) was celebrated at the May 24 Rockland Boulders game at Palisades Credit Union Park. Board members, staff, and supporters came out to watch the game and purchase raffle tickets to support the organization. The event and 50/50 raffle is part of the Annual Active International/Rockland Boulders Charity Challenge. CANDLE received $896 from the 50/50 and so did the anonymous winner of the raffle.
