In Westchester, you’ll find tons of indoor and outdoor options as well as public ponds that turn into rinks when it gets really cold. Indoor Ice Skating Rinks in Westchester

Brewster Ice Arena

This year-round ice skating facility has two rinks where kids can learn to skate, learn hockey, or enjoy public skating. Public skating is offered everyday at various times. Skating costs $12.00 per adult; $10.00 per child (12 and under); and $4 per rental. Brewster Ice Arena, 63 Fields Lane, Brewster, NY 10509.

Cross County Center Pop-Up Ice Skating 

Visit the Cross County Center for their annual pop-up ice skating rink. The pop-up rink is not made of real ice, it is a synthetic floor which glides slower than real ice making it perfect for first time and young skaters. Additionally, it’s not as cold. Admission is $10 per person and includes skates and a one-hour session. Ice skating runs from now until December 30th. Cross County Center, 8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers, NY.

Ebersole Ice Rink

Skate lessons are available for all levels, ranging from recreation to advanced figure skating. They also offer public skating, which costs $9 per child and $11 per adult. Enjoy special events throughout the season, such as Free Rink Admission on Tuesday, November 8th from 11:00-2:00pm and Skate with Frosty the Snowman on Sunday, December 18th from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Murray’s Skating Center

This ice skating center has been offering skating programs and special events for all ages since 1960. They offer free skating on Friday from 2:30-4:00pm. Additional skating includes Friday from 6:45pm-7:45pm and 8:00pm-10:00pm; Saturday from 1:00pm-3:00pm and Sunday from 8:30am-10:15am (adults only) and 1:00pm-3:00pm. Skating costs $11.00 per adult; $9 for kids; and $5.00 per person for skate rentals. They also offer skating lessons for all ages and levels of ability from September-April. Hommocks Park Ice Rink

This rink has been offering ice skating fun for kids of all ages since 1975. They have a skating school, public skating times, and a hockey program. Ice Hutch Rink

Enjoy ice skating in Westchester all year long at this rink. They offer skating lessons for children (ages four and up) and adults of all levels. Palisades Center Ice Rink

Playland Ice 

This ice skating facility offers public skating, a learn-to-skate program, and youth and adult clinics. Pre-registration is required for public skating. Rates are $16 per session for individuals ages 11 and up; $6.00 for kids three and under; and $11.00 for kids under age 10. The learn-to-skate program is held from November 4th-December 23rd on Fridays and Sundays. Westchester Skating Academy

The academy offers public skating sessions, a learn-to-skate program, and youth hockey. Pre-registration is required for public skating. Rates are $16 per session for individuals ages 11 and up; $6.00 for kids ages three and under; and $11.00 for kids under age 10. The Harvey School: Evarts Rink

The rink offers a variety of instructional skating programs including group and individual classes. The Harvey School does not offer skating rentals, but they do offer skate sharpening. Additionally, beginners and tots should wear helmets on the ice. The Harvey School, 260 Jay Street, Katonah, NY.

Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks in Westchester

Bear Mountain Ice Rink

For outdoor skating, check out Bear Mountain Ice Rink. Their season runs from November 4th-March 3rd for public skating on Friday-Sunday. There is a $10 parking fee on weekends and holidays.
