Located on the LIU Post campus, the camp features an eight-week traditional day camp for campers who like art, computers, cooking, dance, drama, fitness, Legos, music, nature, recreation, sports, and swimming. The camp also offers a three-week performing arts academy for the camper who appreciates musical theater, and loves to play an instrument, sing, and dance. Our camp is coed for children ages 5-16. Campers are grouped by age and participate in age-appropriate activities. Campers ages 12-15 take weekly trips. A C.I.T. program is available for ages 16 and older.

Meet the Director

Nickolette Kacharaba (B.A., State University of New York Stony Brook; M.S., Advanced Certificate, LIU Post) has been a part of the LIU Post Youth Camps since 2003. She became director in 2010. She joins LIU full-time after having taught in public and private school for 12 years. Nickolette has been an active member of NAfME, NYSSMA, and both Nassau and Suffolk County Music Education Associations. Nickolette's dedication and experiences as a music teacher and LIU Post Youth Camp staff member have helped children and teens thrive in school and their personal lives.
