The Westchester Children’s Museum is celebrating its first birthday and is throwing a party for all to attend!

On Saturday, April 29, visitors of all ages are invited to participate in fun hands-on activities and special "Exploration Stations" for a day of play and discovery.

Some of the 45-minute programs that will be offered include building catapults to launch at a target, a Deconstruction Lab for a look into old electronics and household machines to see how they work, and Living in Space, where kids will take part in interactive challenges to think like a NASA scientists and engineers.

Throughout the day, there will also be live entertainment at Center Stage with performances by Songs for Seeds, Flor Bromley, and Miss Rhea.

Stations will be set up all day, such as a balloon car racing, a buoyancy boat building challenge, contributing to a giant yarn sculpture, light and optics experiments, and more.

The Westchester Children’s Museum opened in April 2016 and has been revered by Westchester residents as a necessary kid-friendly addition to the area.

The Westchester Children’s Museum’s First Birthday party will take place from 12-4pm in Rye. For more information, visit the Westchester Children’s Museum’s website.
