Want the flexibility of working out at the gym without having to look over your shoulder every minute to make sure your child is safe and entertained? We've rounded up a list of local gyms with child care programs in Westchester, Rockland, NYC, Long Island, and Connecticut, so kids can stay fit and have fun while you do the same.

Rockland County

Lifeplex

Lifeplex offers group classes, a tennis area, and cardio machines, but also gives members peace of mind with childcare facilities with security cameras so you can keep on eye on your kids. There is also a four-lane swimming pool and a juice bar. Lifeplex’s fitness facility caters to kids, with activities such as a rock climbing and even virtual reality equipment.

JCC is one of the largest community centers in Rockland County, offering programs for both adults and children. They have afterschool programs for kids, including sports and wellness programming, teen, and young adult programming. There is also an early childhood education program that is offered to kids. 

Westchester County

Life Time Fitness offers a “Kids Academy” program that allows children to participate in a variety of programs while parents can work out. Kids Academy serves ages 3 months-11 years. Some special programs are the “Mommy and Me” yoga program, Intro to Karate and Dance, and even cultural programs like Intro to Spanish. Life Time also offers different engaging programs that change up a boring workout routine for adults. They have different clubs for different forms of exercise, such as a tennis club, racquetball club, squash club, swim club, and a basketball league called “Ultimate Hoops.”
