Strive for Gold Weekend
WHEN: Feb. 17-19, Saturday-Monday, 10am-5pm
WHERE: The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, 10 N. Water St., Norwalk, CT
AGES: All
WHAT: Amidst the world games occurring in Pyeongchang, South Korea, there also are medals to be won at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. The Aquarium’s “Strive for the Gold Weekend” will invite guests to take part in bonus activities, some of which test their skills in comparison to those of aquatic animals. Can you hop farther than a frog? Can you leap as high as a seal? Others may challenge guests in sporting events, like shooting a puck past an “octopus” goalie or tossing a bean bag into a “shark” mouth. Complete all the activities and earn a “Strive for the Gold” medal. And be sure to bring your camera for a photo opp at the medals-ceremony podium.
